Earlier this week LeBron James put in the paperwork to change his number to six. Shortly after people started to say that he did it just for the money (it’s common knowledge that when athletes change their jersey numbers their sales go up). But this case isn’t so cut & dry. In the NBA the money made from jersey sales and other NBA licensed products is distributed equally amongst the players. So in reality, a scrub who doesn’t even have his jersey in the stores (Kwame Brown, LMAO) is going to see the same check as LBJ, who right now has the second most popular jersey in the league.

Haters are about to be mad as hell now. I read GQ on the regular, and how I didn’t know about this ahead of time is beyond me, but Kobe Bryant is on the cover of GQ for March. LeBron James got his in last year with a damn near classic issue, this one is on par (which also features Drake). His feature article is actually pretty lengthy and goes into more detail about how he flies to Staples Center on his private chopper, hollywood.
If you have an iPhone and you keep up with JoshuaBlogs, you already know the deal, this issue can be had on iTunes.
