About an hour or so ago, the starters for the NBA’s all star game were announced and goes as followed:
Eastern Conference
PF – Kevin Garnett
SF – LeBron James
C – Dwight Howard
SG – Dwyane Wade
PG – Allen Iverson
Western Conference
SF – Carmelo Anthony
PF – Tim Duncan
C – Amar’e Stoudemire
SG – Kobe Bryant
PG – Steve Nash
Some quick thoughts. If you’ve seen Chris Bosh’s numbers, you would know that there is no way in hell Kevin Garnett should be starting ahead of him, especially with all of the missed time.
Allen Iverson? I understand that no point guard has really stuck out in the east this season, but c’mon son.
Also Dirk Nowitzki should be the starter at PF, Duncan at C. Amare Stoudemire is waaay overrated in my opinion.
LeBron James will be in LA this Christmas to hoop with Kobe & the Lakers. Below are the special Christmas Day shoes that he’ll be wearing. You’ll notice that these are the same shoes that was worn by Puppet LeBron when he banged one on Blitzen. These special edition shoes will be available Dec. 25th on NikeBasketball.com.

Tonight the Cleveland Cavaliers have asked their fans to wear pink to help “Box-Out Breast Cancer” (a program that helps raise awareness for screening and puts an emphasis on prevention) . The Cavaliers will suit up in pink. To match, King James will lace up in a pair of pink VIIs shown below.
The black shoes feature a black/pink color scheme with a gradient-like design on the side panels. The white pair has a no flywire design as it owns white woven side panels.
It’s bad enough that Chicago’s record is under .500 for the season, but now they are about to get beasted by a grown man wearing pink shoes. tisk tisk tisk
Shannon Brown needs to be in this year’s dunk contest. Lebron said he wants to be in it, as well as Dwight Howitzer, now they need to stick in #12 from the City of Angels. Last night against the Warriors, young man had an INSANE dunk over Anthony Morrow:
But he wasn’t done there, shortly after he broke out a pump-handle dunk on a breakaway:
Not only do I think he needs to be in this year’s dunk contest, I also think the Lakers have their starting PG of the future Jordan Farmar is not it. He is too inconsistent and gets abused repeatedly on defense. Brown on the other hand does exactly what he’s needed to do, play hard and make open shots. Some people might disagree because he’s not a true point guard, but in the triangle you don’t need one. Especially when you’re surrounded by four all-star caliber players in the starting lineup.
Ever since LA picked him up last year all he’s done is create highlights:
